Why Every Cup Holder Needs a Travel Tray

In my ideal parenting world, I wouldn’t allow eating in the car. But in reality, we are always eating and playing on the go. The Travel Tray has created a clever way to extend one cup holder into a cup holder AND additional tray space!

Why Do I Need the Travel Tray?

When you are on the go, you should accept all the help you can get! The Travel Tray keeps snacks contained by extending the cup holders that you already have.

Your cupholder is still accessible, and then you’ve got additional space to spare! The tray has a deep edge to it that keeps snacks or other play gear from sliding out when you go around corners or over bumps.

My daughter sometimes uses it for drinks and snacks, but what she really loves is that it gives her a place to play with all of her tiny figurines! She loves to play with her Hatchimals, Shopkins, and LOL Dolls in the car, but they are always falling out of reach.

With the Travel Tray, she has a solid space to be able to line them up. The edge of the tray keeps them from being dropped, and the cupholder makes for a fun little cave area for her play schemes!

Will It Fit My Cupholders?

The Travel Tray works pretty much anywhere there is a cup holder – in your child’s carseat, your vehicle’s front seat, strollers and wagons, shopping cart cup holders, etc.

It was designed to fit nearly all cupholders. So far it fits in all of the cupholders that we have tried.

You can check your different cupholders for their compatibility by measuring how wide your cupholders are. The Travel Tray has a small cup base with a larger cup adaptor, which allows it to fit in most cupholder spaces.

The small cup is 2.75″ across on the exterior, and when the larger cup adaptor is added it is 3″ across on the exterior.

Will It Fit My Cups?

The interior of the cupholder is also the appropriate size for just about all of your needs! It is ~2.6″ across at the bottom of the cup holder, and ~2.9″ toward the top.

We keep one in my six-year-old’s cupholder, and one in my front seat passenger cupholder. She is able to use all of her water bottles in it, and I’m able to hold my larger water bottles or 32-ounce drinks in mine!

It is also handy for grabbing your midnight snack, haha! A glass of milk in the cupholder and some cookies on the tray. I think Santa will be quite pleased with this arrangement!

How Is It Made?

If you love shopping local, then you will appreciate that this was created and produced in the USA.

The food-grade plastic is totally safe for you and your little ones – it is BPA, phthalate, and PVC free. Its smooth surfaces are really easy to wipe clean, but it is also top rack dishwasher safe.

I love that the Travel Tray comes in a huge range of colors. Plus they introduce limited edition colors from time to time, like merlot and holiday green! It’s currently available in 15 colors, you should have no problem finding your favorite or your child’s favorite color!

What Else Do I Need to Know?

The only negative that we have noticed is that it isn’t very stable in flexible cupholders. I keep one in the front seat of the car, and never have any problems with it budging in my rigid cupholder. But in my daughter’s flexible carseat cupholder, it often gets knocked out of place.

I’m not too worried about that though. She is six and knows to be careful with it. We haven’t had any problems with spills or dropped toys yet!

The cupholder adaptor comes off when you aren’t using it. That leaves you with an extra snack cup!
